The RLP Graduate School will render the advanced basis for future high end developments in engineering materials and processes. This goal will be realised by high quality integrated education and research:
Combined experiments, materials characterisation and modelling together with robust and reliable simulation will reduce comprehensive testing of prototypes and will consequently allow for a speed up in development of high performance engineering materials and processes. Economic and safe engineering as requested by today's and future's technological, ecological and societal developments and demands from e.g. higher mobility and safer life conditions will be strongly supported by the activities of the Graduate School.
Strategic objectives are leading edge research and education, internationally highly competitive alumni, and the initiation of notable and sustainable synergy effects, the intensification of the interaction between existing competencies and the increase of international visibility.
The RLP Graduate School is funded by the Federal State of Rhineland Palatinate.
